Originally from Tunisia, and now made in Turkey, the Fouta was used by both men and women, wrapped around the body while at the public baths in 19th-century Arabia. Today the Fouta that we supply has been hand woven by traditional Turkish handloomers with hand-tied tassels into beautiful herringbone designs, this towel is softer and thicker than a hamam towel and often used in these ways:
